Pizza e Mozzarella Milan

The Pizza e Mozzarella Milan project represents a major mechanical and acoustic refitting intervention carried out by Energy Save, a company of the Progetto CMR International group, for a new Italian pizza restaurant chain focused on product quality and customer experience.

Located in the heart of Milan, the restaurant covers a spacious area with over 200 indoor seats and an outdoor dining area. The aim of the project was to transform a former dining venue into a modern, welcoming open-space restaurant, featuring an industrial design concept created by the architects at GLAMSTUDIO (Lucio Leone and Marco Ghisla).

Technical Scope

Energy Save was responsible for the design, coordination, and certification of the mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the acoustic analysis of the interior spaces.
The intervention included:

  • Exposed HVAC and air exchange systems featuring VRF technology and custom-designed perforated ducting, ensuring uniform comfort across all dining areas.
  • Lighting and electrical distribution designed to integrate seamlessly with the industrial aesthetic, with great attention to safety and efficient load management.
  • An advanced acoustic study, focused on reverberation control, a key factor for ensuring customer comfort. In an open industrial environment, managing sound-absorbing materials poses a design challenge — successfully addressed through tailored and highly effective solutions.

Outcome

The result is a restaurant with a strong visual identity and technical performance, where design and engineering work together to create a fully comfortable and sustainable space.
Through the integrated collaboration between architectural and engineering design, Pizza e Mozzarella Milan stands out for its contemporary aesthetics, energy efficiency, and high-quality acoustic comfort.
