Interwoven geometries, contrasting volumes, and lines meeting to form an architectural idea capable of transforming outdoor spaces, both urban and non-urban: with this vision, Piscine Laghetto, an Italian company part of the Fluidra group, presents CITY, the new above-ground pool with a 100% Made in Italy DNA, designed by Sportium – Progetto CMR and created in collaboration with Granitech, a brand of the Iris Ceramica Group.
Characterized by a contemporary aesthetic in line with current residential architectural trends, featuring clean and squared geometries, and defined by a skillful use of finishing materials such as porcelain stoneware and metal, CITY was designed with the goal of harmoniously integrating into outdoor spaces through a visually balanced design with a lightened volumetric impact.
Increasingly, outdoor spaces are being considered a natural extension of interiors, promoting visual and functional continuity between indoor and outdoor areas. It is to this trend that Piscine Laghetto, Sportium – Progetto CMR, and Granitech have responded with this model, which integrates in a single solution a product adaptable to sports, relaxation, well-being, and physical rehabilitation, while preserving the exclusive character and craftsmanship quality of Piscine Laghetto.
The concept of CITY, the new above-ground pool designed by Sportium and Progetto CMR, is based on the desire to offer the market an extremely innovative product capable of harmonizing the visual impact of its volume with the surrounding context. This design allows for maximum freedom in terms of material and finishing choices for the pool’s covering. To achieve this goal, the designers were inspired by the world of architecture, sculpting the volumes of its structure and modulating the solids and voids in a balanced and conscious way, to give the product forms that are light and pure.
Aligned with the trends of a contemporary society increasingly focused on well-being, relaxation, and sports activities, a wide selection of accessories is currently being developed, specifically designed to integrate with CITY and enhance it with new functionalities.
Cutting-edge covering thanks to the collaboration with Granitech (brand of Iris Ceramica Group)
The new CITY pool is designed to be covered with the innovative X-Slab ceramic surfaces developed by Granitech, the Iris Ceramica Group’s Business Unit specialized in technical fields. The X-Slab porcelain stoneware slabs are super-enhanced surfaces that amplify the natural resistance of ceramics by 5 to 10 times. This completely new and imperceptible solution is obtained by combining the ceramic slabs with a natural mineral laminate, ensuring greater resistance and durability while maintaining the same hygienic properties. X-Slab is compatible with other technological solutions from Iris Ceramica Group, such as Hypertouch®, the ceramic slab that reacts to touch by connecting to home automation devices, and Active Surfaces®, eco-active antibacterial and antiviral ceramic surfaces, offering maximum customization in terms of finishes.
