Eggboard

A series of fixtures that combine optical performance with sound-absorbing properties, achieving a convergence of integrated functions that enhance the quality of both micro and macro environments.

High acoustic efficiency is achieved through careful design. The suspended fixture takes advantage of two active surfaces for sound absorption, while the distinctive design of the lower surface—combined with the sound-absorbing material—minimizes sound reflections responsible for noise.

Its aesthetic recalls a domestic, DIY approach to soundproofing, inspired by the image of walls covered with egg cartons. The sinusoidal cross-section—a curve common to the principles of both sound and light diffusion—houses a board with a high number of low-power LEDs, adjusted by rotosymmetric reflectors that manage the light emission to ensure maximum visual comfort: a soft downlight and a controlled dark light.

EggBoard combines acoustic and lighting efficiency with a systemic philosophy: the juxtaposition of multiple fixtures, suspended at different heights and in various colors, allows not only the modulation of performance according to the characteristics of the target space, but also the creation of true floating compositions, producing striking architectural and luminous effects.
